Gathering of Aboriginal families in Narrandera

Aboriginal women and children from across the Riverina will gather in Narrandera on Wednesday 3 May for an event organised by Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Aboriginal Health.

The aim of the day is to bring women and their children aged up to five years together to learn and share stories, meet friends and celebrate.

Women and their families will travel from Lake Cargelligo, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera.

A number of service providers will attend, including:

    • NSW Cancer Council
    • Playgroup NSW
    • Griffith TAFE Institute
    • Mission Australia
    • MLHD Women’s Health, Oral Health and Immunisation

There will be recreational activities including yoga and cultural craft as well as activities for the children.

The event will be held at the Narrandera Racecourse from 10.30am to 2.30pm with morning tea and lunch provided.
