Youth vaccine hip hop video launch

Excitement is building for the screening of a locally filmed and recorded youth video on Saturday 8 April in Wagga Wagga.

City of Wagga Wagga has partnered with Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) for the launch of the Whatchya Gunna Do? youth vaccine hip hop video, during Youth Week.

“We have been fortunate to be able to combine local youth talent with nationally recognised artists including Nooky and Nina Las Vegas,” said MLHD Director Public Health Tracey Oakman.

“The youth wrote the lyrics, sang the song and participated in the video, all with the support of producer  Rahj Conkas, lyric writer Nooky and radio host, DJ and producer Nina Las Vegas,” said Mrs Oakman.

“The aim of the video is to engage with high school age youth to get them thinking about the importance of immunisation,” said Mrs Oakman.

“Once launched, the video will be available on Youtube and the MLHD web page,” said Mrs Oakman.

The launch will take place as part of the Wagga Wagga City Council Youth week celebrations at 4pm on 8 April.

“The local performers will be in attendance and will see the video for the first time,” said Mrs Oakman.

The video will be able to be viewed after the launch at:
