Our Strategic Plan 2021 - 2026
Our Strategic Plan is about people. People who provide care, the people who receive care and the people in our communities, working together to support wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles.
Our plan, released in June 2021, outlines our focus for next five years, building on our continuing efforts and leading the organisation towards our vision:
Exceptional rural healthcare.
Healthier together. Care tailored to people's needs.
We are healthier when we are connected; emotionally, socially, mentally and physically. Exceptional care is provided when we work as one team, towards a shared goal – lifting the health outcomes and wellbeing of our community.
Our vision for the next five years is to ensure our organisation remains fit-for-purpose and provides exceptional care, now and into the future. It defines our long term strategic direction, to provide exceptional healthcare and improve health outcomes for the people in our region, with a focus on four key directions:
- Holistic health and wellbeing
- Lifting health outcomes
- Locally led reform
- Workforce at its best.
Draft MLHD Clinical Services Framework 2021-2026 (In development)
The Clinical Services Framework’s describes the clinical service models within the District, provides agreed guidelines in planning of health services, and aligns the future role of hospitals and health services with both the strategic directions of District and the health needs of the population they serve.
The framework is currently being developed in three phases, with input from a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, service directors, program leaders and service partners from other organisations.
We look forward to sharing the final document soon, highlighting how our services are evolving and the many opportunities the future brings for our consumers, our staff and our communities.
