MLHD Board

The District Board works to ensure effective clinical and corporate governance frameworks are established to support standards of patient care and services. They set and ensure implementation of the Strategic Plan for the District.

Our Board is made up of local people who are committed the region. Directors bring a wealth of skills, experience and local knowledge to the management of our District.

Our Board is dedicated to providing safe quality care and strives for service improvement through innovation and research.

Gayle is a school teacher with more than 40 years’ experience in education, including 15 years as a Principal. Gayle is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare across the region.

Appointed for provision of clinical and other health services, Tom is an experienced General Practitioner and Anaesthetist. Tom is interested in training and up-skilling of local health professionals to deliver quality health services in rural areas.
Mr John Harding

Mr John Harding

John has extensive experience in the financial and education industries as well as being a former Councillor and Mayor. John is interested in developing education in the community to help improve health outcomes.
Dr Pankaj Banga

Dr Pankaj Banga

Pankaj is an experienced General Practitioner and Hospital Administrator. Pankaj is interested in supporting people from communities across the region to access quality treatment options close to home.
Mr Geoff Twomey

Mr Geoff Twomey

Appointed for expertise and experience in business and financial management, Geoff is an accountant with more than 50 years’ experience in the financial industry. Geoff is interested in the impact the new Wagga Wagga Base Hospital will have in the region.
Mr Adrian Lindner

Mr Adrian Lindner

Adrian is an accountant and is currently a primary producer who serves on a number of Boards and Committees. He was the former Head of Campus at Charles Sturt University and has a background in health management. Adrian is passionate about quality safe care in Murrumbidgee.
Ms Elizabeth Dixon

Ms Elizabeth Dixon

Elizabeth Dixon is aPhysiotherapist and small business founder, providing local and tele-health clinical services, and is based at a farming enterprise near Carrathool. Elizabeth previously worked at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, as a Senior Neurological, Trauma and Intensive Care Unit Physiotherapist as well as a researcher and trial project manager. Ms Dixon has recently completed her MBA with an interest in utilising health innovation and digital technology to improve patient outcomes and is also a member of the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Clinical Advisory Council.

Staff Representative
Andrea is an experienced Registered Nurse with specialities in areas including general, psychiatry and aged care. Andrea is interested in bringing the “coalface” perspective to the Board.
Ms Elke Cleverdon

Ms Elke Cleverdon

Elke Cleverdon is a rural financial counsellor, a MBA qualified business consultant at Young and a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA) with a farming enterprise business partner in Harden. She has held a number of executive roles over the years including Deputy General Manager & Chief Financial Officer for 16 years at South West Slopes Credit Union. Ms Cleverdon is a Director of Local Land Services (LLS) - Riverina and Chair of the Hilltops Council Regional Economic Development Committee.  She holds NSW State pre-qualification for audit & risk committee membership for NSW agencies and serves on the LLS State Audit & Risk committee. 

Mr Michael (Paul) Braybrooks

Mr Michael (Paul) Braybrooks

Appointed for expertise in health business and financial management, Paul is a local Pharmacist, Councillor and former Mayor. Paul is interested in local services for local people.
Mr John Ireland

Mr John Ireland

John is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, an Accredited Specialist Mediation and Personal Injury and Arbitrator NSW District Court. He is also a Mediator to Workers Compensation Commission. John is interested in equality of care throughout the District.
Ms Betty Cragg

Ms Betty Cragg

Appointed for expertise, knowledge or experience in relation to Aboriginal Health, Betty is a Wiradjuri Elder and has extensive experience working with Aboriginal people including youth work. Betty is interested in improving the health of Aboriginal people across the region.
