Public Health Alert - New venues of concern

Contact tracing has identified an additional location of concern in Young.
KFC Young
Friday 10 September 4.00pm - 9.30pm
Saturday 11 September 12.00pm - 3.00pm

Anyone customers who attended the location during the times listed is a casual contact and must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Staff have been assessed individually and given appropriate advice.
Testing is available on Saturday and Sunday at Young Town Hall 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) confirms a positive case of COVID-19 has been identified in the Hilltops LGA to 8pm last night. 

The man in his 60s presented at Young District Hospital and has been transferred to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. Three other cases are currently under investigation.  

The source of infection is currently under investigation as contact tracers identify anyone this person may be come in contact with during their infectious period.  

There have now been 3 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in MLHD since the start of the current outbreak.  

MLHD has been notified of new venues of concern that are associated with confirmed cases of COVID-19 (refer list below). 

Anyone who attended the following venues at the time listed is a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. NSW Health sends a text message to people who have checked in at close-contact venues with further information. We also make a follow-up call to close contacts to discuss the isolation and testing requirements.
