Temora Health Service Redevelopment

The NSW Government has committed $80 million to the Temora Health Service redevelopment, which will provide a high-quality contemporary health facility and ensure health care services are carefully planned to meet community needs now and into the future.

The project is currently in the planning stage, with master planning underway.

Community information sessions were held in Temora on Wednesday, 30 November 2022.
Many community members, consumers and staff called in to chat with the Project Team and learn more about what’s involved in delivering a redeveloped hospital for Temora.

A review of the Clinical Service Plan was completed in July 2022 and involved stakeholder engagement with consumers, community representatives, key stakeholders and health organisations. The Clinical Service Plan has been endorsed by the MLHD Executive and Board. It will soon be publicly available on the Murrumbidgee Local Health District website.

Building hospitals and healthcare facilities is a complex operation involving three key phases – Planning, Design and Delivery. Each development is tailored to a community’s unique health needs and long-term health requirements. This video outlines the process of how to build a hospital.

*Note - The Clinical Service Plan is developed based on information, future projections and health standards current as at June 2022 and may be subject to change.
