Deniliquin Health Service

About Us

The Deniliquin Hospital is a 46 bed facility including 26 acute beds, eight day surgery beds, four maternity beds, six emergency department beds and two treatment rooms. 

Deniliquin Hospital provides a 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department which is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team in Deniliquin with specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service, ensuring you get the specialist care you need.

Deniliquin has a nine chair Renal Unit and a seperate three chair Oncology Service.

Deniliquin hospital is a hub site for surrounding smaller communities and provides a range of community, allied health and mental health/ drug and alcohol outreach services.

 

Location

The picturesque town of Deniliquin is situated in country NSW on a tributary of the Murray River, close to the border with Victoria. With a population of just under 8,000 residents, Deniliquin is at the centre of Riverina sheep-station country and on the fringe of one of the world's largest red gum forests. A network of forest trails offers a variety of bushwalking, camping, biking and birdwatching adventures. Deniliquin has a range of primary, secondary and tertiary education options, including the Riverina Institute of TAFE and offers sporting opportunities including AFL, rugby union, cricket, netball, golf and tennis.

It is about one hour north of Echuca , 2 ½ hours west of Albury and 4 hours drive to Melbourne.
